We will remember them.

Last summer, I had the opportunity to go to France with a group of dancers as their piano player. We attended multiple assemblies that commemorated the fallen during World War II. We were staying at a hotel just beside the beach that is most commonly known as Juno Beach. The chills that ran up and down my spine everyday were incredible. I had the chance to meet people who witnessed the liberation of France along the beach.

Ever since that trip, Remembrance day means so much more to me.

I will never forget those who went to war to defend our country and help free others. The fallen have sacrificed everything to protect us. They faced dangers we can only imagine. Who knows what the world would of become if it weren’t for those who fought. A lot of the men were young, hadn’t even started their lives yet.

It is a pity that some people don’t respect or understand what the soldiers of World War I and II have been through.

On November 11, take the time to remember them. Take the time to thank those who have saved us and protected us.

I will never forget them, and neither should anyone else.
